Chinese New Year


The main ethnics in Malaysia are Malays, Chinese's, and Indians. The Chinese with Lunar New Year.

The Chinese New Year on Lunar New Year is celebrated between January on February every year which is according to the moon sign. Most of the Chinese believe that new year is for prosperity and lucky. We can see that all the family will work harder when the New Year is around the corner, just to celebrate it grandly. The married person will give 'Hang Pau' or Red Packet that contain money inside it. While the singles received 'Hang Pau' though their age is older. During the first day at Lunar New Year, they will not sweep the floor because they believe that they will move all the prosperity and lucks out of their house. Besides, all people will wear red shirt for the New Year Shine.
